2023 – 10 weeks

I created this personal project to explore craftsmanship, techniques, tools, and materials. The result is a manufacturable lamp made of 3 standard aluminium sheets and one polished stainless steel pipe threaded on both ends to secure the head and base together.

The light can be turned on effortlessly by touching the bottom disc, thanks to the capacitive touch sensor installed in the base.

I executed many tolerance iterations until achieving the perfect fit, ensuring that both surfaces were perfectly flush and the edge caught the right amount of light.
