Eluxir was designed to create a new drinking experience for a brand with a strong Scandinavian heritage.

Water is a life-sustaining element, and therefore, many flavoured options such as sodas and juices exist to please everyone's tastes. In a home environment, you will likely find different brands, but plastic bottles are one of the most polluting wastes on the planet.

One healthy and sustainable way to drink flavoured water is to infuse it, but this process takes hours. People tend to use more fruits or plants, which doesn't affect the result. Buying pre-made infused drinks can be an alternative that creates waste.

So, how can we make the experience of naturally flavouring water more interesting and faster?

Eluxir is a device that quickly infuses cold water with a natural taste, carbonizes it, and creates an interesting serving experience. Ultrasound technology is affordable and already used in the cooking industry. We tested it with different fruits and vegetables, and the results were mind-blowing. We achieved better results with 3 minutes of ultrasound infusion than 2 hours without.

This device is a healthy alternative to flavoured drinks while reducing the consumption of plastic bottles and reusing waste (e.g., peels).

Ultrasound is a technology already used in the cooking experience and has proven effective. We want to use its speed to infuse the ingredients. We had the chance to experiment with the efficiency of ultrasound to extract the flavor of fruits & peels.
